I'm considering replacing my bathtub, possibly doing it myself. I'm wondering if it will be expensive or if it might be better to leave it as is. I've got a vintage tub, and I'm curious about the best approach to take for a DIY replacement. Here's a photo of what I'm working with: https://imgur.com/a/19TXmzt

It sounds like a fun project! You definitely can do it yourself, but keep in mind that cutting it up might be the easiest way to remove it. A sawzall would help a lot here. Vintage tubs can have some value too, so consider reselling it if you can get it out whole! The replacement options, like a drop-in kit with side panels, can offer a nice look without too much hassle.
Wow, that tub is a beast! It might take a lot of work to remove it whole. I've had success cutting mine into smaller pieces for easier removal—less mess that way, too. If you’re looking to swap it out, just make sure you’re ready for the physical work!
