I'm searching for hardy privacy shrubs or trees that can thrive in the Northeast. Ideally, they should grow quickly and can withstand hot summers and cold winters. I'm also looking for something that can handle a lot of sun and is easy to maintain. Any recommendations?

Junipers are a solid choice! They hold up well throughout the year, but make sure you give them good drainage by adding gravel if your soil is heavy with clay. Just keep in mind that they can get a lot bigger than you might expect, so do some research on the specific variety that suits your area. If you're looking for something that grows fast, Green Giant arborvitaes are a great option, too. Personally, I've also had success with Henryi clematis—it grows beautifully and gives you those lovely large white blooms all season long! Also, I planted a Celebration Maple a couple of years ago, and it’s already tripled in size!”,
