How Can I Deal with a Neighbor Who Feeds Rats in Our Yard?

I'm really frustrated because my neighbor is actively feeding rats, and now they're scurrying around in my yard! I can't do anything about the neighbor themselves, but I need to know the best ways to tackle this rat issue. My yard is pretty small, with only about 3 feet between my house and the fence, and we don't have pets to scare them off. Unfortunately, there aren't any natural predators like owls or raccoons around here. I'm open to any effective solutions, even if it means going to extremes! What strategies can I use to get rid of these rats for good?

You should definitely report this to your local authorities; feeding pests like rats is likely a health code violation. They might even take action to help with trapping or managing the population.

I totally relate! I once unwittingly attracted a rat issue myself. We had some success with really strong catch traps like the Victor model – they worked well! Just be careful with your approach. I’d also suggest maybe getting a fake owl statue; they can help deter the rats since they think it's a predator!

That sounds wild! I’d love to see an owl statue that actually moves, would definitely be worth checking out!
