What Should I Do with My Dead M18 Battery?

I've been dealing with a Milwaukee M18 5AH battery that barely lasts a couple of minutes. I'm wondering what options I have. Can I refurbish it, or is recycling the way to go? What do you all usually do with your bad batteries?

I usually open up the cases and replace the cells myself. It requires a spot welder, but it’s cheaper than buying a new battery! Just make sure not to leave them in your vehicle, though—they can be a fire hazard!

Replacing cells sounds like a fun project! I'll have to try that when I'm free.

Check the battery's serial number to see if it’s still under warranty with Milwaukee. If not, recycling is your best bet, but you could also consider DIY repair if you're up for it!

Yeah, Milwaukee also has a recycling program if you send it in, they might take care of it.

You can recycle bad batteries at places like Home Depot, which has free battery recycling bins. It's a great option if you want to get rid of them responsibly!

I've done that before too, it's super convenient!
