I'm a beginner looking to make miniature houses and furniture out of wood. What tools would you recommend for cutting wood effectively and safely? Any tips on the type of wood or techniques would also be appreciated!

If you're cutting a lot of pieces and want something even more precise, consider investing in a Proxxon micro table saw. It's great for miniatures and makes quick work of cutting basswood logs. It might be a bit pricey, but the quality is top-notch and can save you a lot of time!

Sounds like a solid investment for detailed work!

Also, it helps to have a miter box with your saw for cleaner angles. I found a combo that comes with a miter box and saw which works really well together. You’ll get straighter cuts that are key for miniatures. Just make sure to choose the right blade length for the projects you have in mind!

For cutting small pieces of wood, I'd suggest looking at a hand saw that's designed for precision work. A Japanese-style hand saw can be great for this kind of project because they're sharp and handle fine cuts well. Check out the link I’ve shared to get an idea of the style! Just remember, that’s not an endorsement, but it should point you in the right direction!

Definitely worth considering! I’ve heard those saws are really precise.
