Are Cordless Framing Nailers Worth It? DeWalt vs Milwaukee vs Paslode

I'm looking for a cordless framing nailer, ideally from DeWalt since I have their batteries. However, I've heard that DeWalt models can jam a lot. I've also considered Milwaukee but found them too heavy, and while I liked Paslode, I really want to avoid using gas cans if possible. Does anyone have experience with these brands?

Honestly, I think Paslode is the best bet out there! Their performance is solid, especially if you can deal with the gas cans.

I’ve used the second generation DeWalt, and while it's pretty decent, you can expect a jam or two, especially with 16 penny ring shanks hitting knotted wood. It's not as fast as you might hope, but I've shot around 2,000 nails with it and only had five jams. Just remember to hit the lock button to save battery when you're not using it, as it can drain them quickly!

I own both the latest DeWalt and Milwaukee nailers. The DeWalt was great initially but started jamming a lot after the first house. The Milwaukee’s been used for ten projects but it’s also starting to struggle with sinking nails properly. Neither can match the durability of pneumatic nailers, but for small jobs, they're still decent options. Personally, I would lean toward Milwaukee, but adding a new battery platform just for the nailer seems like a hassle. DeWalt should be fine, though!
