I'm thinking about getting a subscription to WoodSmith Magazine. My grandpa had a subscription previously and passed down some of the issues he kept. For those who have subscribed, what do you enjoy the most about its content? Do you think it's worth the cost? Are there any areas you feel could be improved or that you'd like to see more of?

You might want to check out your local library for issues first. They might have plenty of back issues you can browse. Plus, you can find their digital DVD or PDF collections that are usually cheaper than the print versions. Honestly, after a while, the magazine tends not to show you anything groundbreaking if you've read enough issues, so you might have more than enough with what you've already got from your grandpa!
I’m a huge fan of WoodSmith. I subscribed and also bought their extensive CD collection of plans. I primarily love their detailed plans and the discussions about techniques—they've got some of the best content out there, even better than *Wood* magazine in my opinion!
WoodSmith provides really clear instructions for building various projects. Just keep in mind that you should be interested in the projects featured in each issue. Even if you're not keen on every project, you can still pick up a ton of useful techniques. I used to keep a stack of issues in my bathroom for some light reading!
