Hey Ohio succulent lovers! I'm on the hunt for a cheap source of pumice or dry stall, but it seems like it's mostly available in the western states. I've checked out big box stores, feed stores, and even tractor supply shops, but all I've come across is overpriced horticultural pumice. I haven't tried landscape supply depots or farms yet, and even local horse supply stores don't seem to stock it. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Just a heads up: pumice is primarily mined in places like California, which is why shipping can be a bit pricey. If you're struggling to find it locally, some people order directly from suppliers that mine in Idaho and Nevada, but again, shipping might add to the cost. It's a bit of a hassle, especially if you're in Ohio.
You might want to consider chicken grit instead! It’s mostly made up of granite fines, which work well in succulent potting mixes. It could be a good alternative if pumice is hard to come by.
I found some on Amazon, which is convenient! I'm in Pennsylvania and I was having a similar issue, so online shopping saved the day for me.
