I've been into woodworking for a bit now and I'm thinking about getting my first wood lathe. I came across this one on Amazon, but I've heard that mini lathes can be pretty terrible. It seemed decent enough to me, so I wanted to get your thoughts on it before I purchase. What do you all think?

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. This lathe is a rebadged version of a Harbor Freight model, and trust me, I've had one before. It's really low-quality, and I found it to be a huge waste of money. To put it bluntly, it's what I call a "tool shaped object" - it looks like a lathe but isn’t actually functional. If I were you, I'd save up for something made of cast iron, even if it's a bit smaller. You need that rigidity for a lathe to work properly.
