I received some older Dewalt tools as a gift, including the DW938 and DW939 saws, along with a DC759 drill. I have three batteries (DW9096 and DW9098) that work fine with the drill, but they don't fit or work in the saws at all. Is there a specific battery I should use, or do I need an adapter? You might want to check the battery compartment on the saws. Sometimes the connectors can get loose, especially in older models. If you have a Torx screwdriver, opening it up could give you an idea if anything’s off. Also, consider that the switches or motors might be the issue too.
I should’ve mentioned this earlier, but my problem isn’t the connection; it’s mainly that the batteries don’t fit in the saws at all. There’s a visible difference in the battery slots for the drill compared to the saws. Do you know what battery would be compatible?
