What’s the best way to remove stubborn glue from scissors?

I have some scissors that are completely stuck because of a really stubborn glue residue. I've tried using pure alcohol, nail polish remover, and even window cleaner, but nothing seems to help. They're unusable for my projects since they keep sticking to everything I try to cut. Any advice on how to get this glue off?

You might want to try using something like Goo Gone or Goof Off. Both are great at softening adhesives. If you don’t have those, vegetable oil or even WD-40 can work too. Just apply, let it sit for a bit, and then wipe it off!

Yeah, I’ve had luck with vegetable oil in the past! Just take your time and don’t rush the process.

One effective way is to scrape the glue off with a sharp edge, like a razor blade or a box cutter. Just be careful to avoid damaging the scissors. After scraping, try cleaning the residue with Goof Off; it usually does the trick!
