Hey everyone! I'm running into some major issues with my Milwaukee tools, both the M12 and M18 series. It seems like they're all experiencing a similar kind of failure. For the M12s, I'm having trouble when holding the trigger - they won't maintain a steady speed. I've swapped out batteries and recharged them, but it's still acting up, even with brand new batteries. My M12 Hammer Drill just stopped entirely, the lights work but no motor action; I suspect it's a MOSFET issue and I'm trying to replace those.
For the M18s, I'm dealing with partial or complete failure to trigger, and that's happening with both old and new batteries. My M18 Rear Handle Circular Saw sometimes just won't start, and then it does after swapping the batteries. Plus, my M18 18 Gauge Nailer refuses to nail, even when the LEDs light up and the buttons seem to work. I'm at a loss for what to check next. Should I reach out to Milwaukee directly for advice? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I feel your pain! I’ve noticed similar activation problems with my M18 tools, especially when using a Forge battery. Sometimes the trigger activates the light but doesn’t start the motor. Have you ruled out battery issues? Some batteries just can’t keep up.
I've had a similar problem with my M12 and M18 tools. The inconsistent speed is frustrating! I'm using regular batteries myself, and I haven't had any smoke issues, but it’s clear that the speed issues are present on several models, especially the drill/drivers and die grinders. It's definitely something worth addressing. I’d recommend checking how hard you've been pushing the tools as well!
