Hey everyone! I recently bought a Calathea and a few Marantas, not realizing they thrive in high humidity. Unfortunately, I can't use a humidifier due to my partner's asthma. Am I out of luck with these plants, or are there other ways to keep them happy? Also, any general care tips for these specific plants would be greatly appreciated. I'm located in the UK, just to give you some context!

As for caring for Calatheas and Marantas, they both enjoy a bit of moisture. You can also mist them occasionally, but just make sure it’s not too much. Keep them out of direct sunlight and they should do just fine!
You're not necessarily doomed! You can try using pebble trays with water underneath your pots. This helps increase humidity for the plants without needing a humidifier. Another option is to put them in African violet pots; they retain moisture well and can prevent you from having to water daily. Good luck!
