Is it Safe to Use Tap Water for My Plants After My Cat Drank From It?

I usually use tap water for my plants, but my cat just drank from the same water. Should I be concerned about contamination? Is it necessary to boil the water, or should I just use fresh water instead?

Honestly, your cat's drinking from the water shouldn't be a big worry for your plants. They’re pretty resilient, and as long as you're not using heavily contaminated water, you should be fine. Personally, I wouldn’t hesitate to use it!

I agree! Unless you’re dealing with really delicate plants, like carnivorous ones that need distilled water, your average houseplants will handle tap water just fine. Just keep an eye on anything sensitive, as they could react to things like chlorine. But boiling isn’t necessary for most plants!
