I started teaching my daughter, who’s 7, by letting her choose a plant to grow. She picked pumpkins! I let her do the watering and even hand-pollinate. It's exciting for them to see how plants grow and they'll learn a lot just by taking care of them.
When I was a kid, gardening was just part of my life. My parents didn’t really formally teach me; I just tagged along while they worked outside. They made it fun by letting me taste the veggies and explore the garden. I'd recommend creating an inviting environment where your kids can experiment—like giving them their own little plot to care for. That way, they learn by doing!
