I recently installed a new interior door along with new hinges, but now it seems really hard to close. When I try to shut the door, it feels like something is resisting, and if I let go of the handle, it pops back open. It looks like the hinges are being forced off the frame when I close it. Does anyone have advice on how to troubleshoot or fix this issue?

If flipping the hinges doesn't work, check for any obstructions in the doorframe or misalignment. Sometimes just tightening the screws can help too. Also, YouTube has tons of tutorials on fixing door hinges, so that might be worth checking out!
It sounds like your hinges might be installed backwards. If you post a picture, it could really help figure it out! Flipping them should be a simple fix if that's the case.
This was it! I realized right after posting. I can't believe I missed that!

Yep, common mistake. Glad you figured it out!
