I just bought a DEWALT 6.5" circular saw (model DCS565B), and I'm noticing that it's cutting about 1/16 inch off towards the end of my cuts, particularly when I'm working with 2x4s. How can I adjust the blade fence or guide to fix this issue? Also, the saw tends to get stuck during cuts, particularly at the last half inch on the bottom front corner of the wood. Could this be because the blade guard is jamming? Am I stuck with a faulty saw, or are these issues fixable?

It sounds like you might need to focus on your cutting technique. Make sure you're cutting on the line cleanly. If you’re using a guide, like a triangle square, it should help with getting straight cuts. But sometimes it just takes practice to maintain a steady hand all the way through.

I thought I was doing okay with the guide, but I’ll work on my control. Thanks!
