I've noticed that many people are using Solo cups for starting their plants. I get how they can be handy, but isn't it a bit wasteful? Can someone explain where this trend started and whether it's really practical?

Solo cups are actually super practical for starting plants! They’re cheap, reusable, and have a good depth for things like tomatoes. I've reused mine for a few years and they hold up great, much better than some of the flimsy nursery pots. So, if you take care of them, they can last a while!
Definitely! I've been using the same Solo cups for about six years now, and they still work perfectly.

Yeah, I feel the same. I always wash and store mine for the next season.
