I'm searching for some good recommendations on places to buy hardwood in Southern California. I'm really aiming to avoid the big box stores and would love to hear about more specialized options. I'm located about equidistant from San Diego and Los Angeles, so both areas work for me!

I’ve been to Ganahls in Corona, and they’re pretty good. You might also want to check out Reel Lumber Service in eastern Riverside, which should be even closer for you. Definitely worth a look!
If you're in North County, I’ve got two great suggestions for you: San Marcos Hardwoods and Saroyan Hardwoods. Personally, I prefer Saroyan. If you're okay with heading into San Diego, Frost Hardwoods is also solid. There's a lot in South Bay, but I don’t think it's worth the drive. Good luck!
I’m actually in Riverside County, in the Coachella Valley, but I don't mind driving a bit!

Sounds good! I’ll check them out. Thanks!
