I recently picked up a DCF503 from Lowe's for around $190 (with tax) that came with a free 5AH 12V battery, but no charger. I'm considering returning it and getting the DCF513 instead. I know both tools are similar, with the main differences being that the DCF513 operates on 20V and has 10 more ft-lbs of torque. I'm curious if the DCF513 is actually better than the DCF503. Right now, I only have 20V batteries, but my charger is compatible with both 12V and 20V batteries.

The DCF513 is indeed a bit larger and uses a 1/2" drive, which might feel bulkier. If you're looking for a more versatile option, consider the DCF500. It's got a slimmer profile, a better sealed head, and features different drive sizes. Plus, it's pretty well-rated for its direction switch functionality!
Got it! I’ll definitely look into the DCF500 now. Thanks for pointing that out!

Good call! I didn't know that about the DCF500's features. Sounds like a solid choice.
