Looking for Recommendations on Heavy-Duty SDS Drills

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a heavy-duty SDS drill and currently using the M18 platform. I'm considering asking for a vacuum attachment to make high-up work easier, but I'm wondering if that attachment is just compatible with lower-powered SDS drills. If that's the case, I'd prefer to stick with something powerful instead. Are there any specific models you'd recommend? I've heard about a 402X model that has 2.3J of impact energy. Any advice would be great!

If you’re using it heavily, consider going corded. They generally have better power and longevity than battery-operated options, especially for larger projects. I usually stick to my corded Bosch Bulldog for tough jobs.

I hear you, but sometimes it’s tough to find a power source on-site, which is why I use cordless.

I own the D-handle 2916 model and it’s impressive! With 3.65 feet-lb of force and a speed of 4650 beats per minute, it makes quick work of masonry. It’s lightweight but powerful, which I really appreciate.

Yeah, that OneKey system can be annoying. It seems like you pay extra for features you might not use.

You should check out the Milwaukee M18 FUEL SDS model. It's one of the most powerful on the M18 platform and it’s compatible with dust extraction systems, which could be handy for your high-up tasks.

Is there a version without the tool connect feature? Seems a bit pricey and I'm not interested in that.

The 2717 and 2718 models are strong contenders in the M18 line, just keep in mind if you're specifically looking for SDS-Plus.
