Help! My Door Knob Has Three Tiny Holes Instead of Two

Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of a dilemma with my indoor door. It seems like instead of the usual two larger holes for the door knob backplate, mine has three tiny ones. I'm on the hunt for a door knob that will fit this setup, so any guidance or suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

Sounds like you might be dealing with a non-standard setup! Usually, door knobs have two holes, but some older or specialty doors can have different configurations. A good first step would be to check out your local hardware store or look online for door knobs designed for those three-hole backplates. If you can't find what you need, maybe consider replacing the entire plate or adjusting the setup if that's an option.

I agree with the suggestion for pics! It’s tough to visualize what you're describing. If you can post some pictures of the setup, it would help us give you better advice. That said, there are some adjustable door knobs out there that might work. You could also check specialty hardware sites; they sometimes have a wider selection to accommodate odd fittings.
