Best Ways to Keep Dogs Inside a Garage While It’s Open?

I'm looking for advice from fellow dog owners regarding how to keep my dogs securely inside my two-car garage when the door is open. I'm considering adding something like a roll-up doggy door anchored to one side. Do such products exist for a full garage space? Also, many of the standard doggy doors seem to be around 3-4 feet high. I need something taller, ideally 4-5 feet, to accommodate my aggressive dog who could easily jump a lower barrier. He's a 55-pound collie/Anatolian shepherd mix and has some trauma from his past before I adopted him at age one. Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated!

As a fellow owner of an Anatolian mix, I totally get your concern! These dogs can leap—I've seen them clear 6-foot fences without breaking a sweat. Instead of a doggy door, you might want to consider garage doors with frosted glass panels. They let in light, prevent outside visibility, and keep your pups safely contained. Just be sure the structure can handle their jumping capabilities!

Good point! I’ll look into those glass panels as an option. Thanks for sharing!
