I have a small concrete backyard filled with pots, and last year I dealt with a huge slug problem that ruined a lot of my plants. Recently, I've found slug eggs and tiny slugs on my plants, and I really want to prevent another disaster this year. I'm looking for effective ways to deal with these pests without having to buy new compost or throw away my soil. Any advice?

I totally get your frustration! I've had success using organic slug pellets and setting up beer traps. You can also go out at night and hand-pick the slugs off your plants. Trust me, don’t bother changing your compost – last year was just a super wet season, and that made the slug situation worse. Good luck!
