Hey everyone! I'm on the hunt for an aftermarket shoe for my DCS 577 7 1/4 circular saw because I really can't stand the stock one. It's just not cutting it (pun intended) – literally! It's hard to see the cut line and there's too much play for making straight cuts. I don't want to hear that I just don't know how to use the saw; I'm looking for real options here. If anybody knows where I can find a better one, please share some links!

If you're doing some serious cutting work, you might want to look into using a straight edge clamp method. It can help you cut straight without needing an aftermarket shoe. I used to do that with a 2m straight edge, but I recently switched to a track saw which is way easier. What kind of materials are you cutting?
I get what you're saying about the stock shoe, it’s pretty much useless for clear cuts. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any aftermarket shoes specifically made for the DCS 577 before. I too wish someone would come up with a more solid option. I've tried using a Kreg plastic attachment, but it feels a bit flimsy for regular use.

I appreciate the tip, but I really prefer seeing my line and cutting straight without all that setup. There are definitely companies out there that offer better shoes; I just wish I could find one made specifically for this saw!
