Hey everyone, I'm on the hunt for #6 trim or fin head screws that are rated for exterior use. The only type I've been able to find have a black phosphate coating, but I really need something that's specifically designed for the outdoors. It seems like whenever I want an exterior coating, I have to jump up to #8 screws. Has anyone had better luck?

I think you might be out of luck with #6 screws. From my experience, #8 seems to be the smallest head available if you're looking for something rated for exterior use. GRK has good options; their #8 has the smallest head among those I've tried.
Have you checked out screws meant for composite decking? They often come with smaller heads and are designed for outdoor use. Plus, some GRK screws have heads that are barely bigger than the shank, which might fit what you need!
You might want to look at KL Jack; they sell #6 PrimeGuard screws that are meant for exterior applications. Here's the link to check it out: kljack.com/search/?keyword=%236%20screw%20exterior
Oh wait, my bad—looks like I misjudged the head size there.

I've actually seen some #6s that are smaller but they tend to be coated in that black phosphate, nothing else that's exterior rated.
