I've recently noticed that there's a significant amount of lint accumulating in the cavity below the lint catcher of my front-loading dryer. I've already removed quite a bit using a thin metal wire, but I'm worried there might still be a lot more hidden deeper inside. I definitely don't want this to become a fire hazard! What steps can I take to thoroughly clean it and ensure it's safe?

You could also use a flexible brush specifically designed for dryers to knock out the lint. Use it in the opening and don’t forget to check the outdoor vent cover. If you’re unsure, just hiring a professional could be a safer bet. Just make sure you find a reputable company to avoid scams!
You can grab a dryer vent cleaning kit from Amazon that attaches to your vacuum. They usually come with flexible nozzles that can reach up in those tight spaces and suck out the lint. It's a straightforward solution that'll save you a headache!
I got a telescoping nozzle attachment for my vacuum that works perfectly! It only cost about $6-8 and does wonders. Just search for "dryer lint trap vacuum attachment" and you'll be set.
Another option is to take out any screws around the filter area. Removing those can help you get in there and vacuum out all that hidden lint. It's a bit of work but could make a big difference!

Definitely agree! Do your research on pro cleaners. I’ve heard too many horror stories about shady services who take your money without doing the job right.
