How Can I Waterproof My Coconut Cups for a Party?

I've got 35 coconut cups ready for a party in three weeks, but I just found out they're not waterproof for cocktails! Can anyone suggest how I can make them waterproof in time?

Food-grade epoxy could also be a good option! It just depends on how you want to finish them. You’ve got enough cups to serve a whole royal party, so make sure to pick something effective!

And when the party's over, those cups can make some hilarious horse hoof sounds!

One quick tip is to try filling one of the cups with water and see how it holds up. Place it on a plate or in a bowl, and check back in an hour to see if anything leaks. You might wanna test it out before making any big plans!

I tried that, and it totally matters! So keep testing!

Have you thought about using food safe polyurethane? A lot of people worry about its safety, but once it cures, it’s pretty much just like plastic. As long as the coating hardens well, it shouldn't mix with your drinks. You should be good to go with that!
