Best Primer Recommendations for Interior House Painting?

Hey everyone! We're gearing up to prime the interior of our house and could really use some advice. We've just removed popcorn from the ceiling, exposing bare drywall, and after recently texturing it, we're looking to prime it now. What type of primer would work well for the new textured and bare drywall ceilings, as well as covering the already painted walls? We'd prefer something that also has stain blocking properties. Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend using Kilz Restoration. It's designed to work well on fresh textures and should also cover the already painted walls effectively.

You should definitely go with BIN by Zinsser. It's top-notch for sealing everything and will give you a great finish.

Grab several 5-gallon buckets of Kilz primer and a stain blocker. Renting a sprayer will make the job a lot easier! Spend time preparing—masking off windows and floors, and remember to remove any fans and lights. Definitely don’t forget your respirator and some Vaseline to protect your skin! Good luck!
