I recently had a large Christmas tree removed, and now I'm left with a big stump in my yard. I'm looking for suggestions on what I can plant to effectively cover it up. Any ideas?

One cool idea I've come across is to use a large planter over the stump. If you make or find one with an open bottom, you can fill it with soil or compost, and the stump will eventually rot away underneath. A great way to make it look nice while also getting rid of that eyesore!

That's a neat trick! Are there specific plants you'd recommend for a planter like that? Since the stump might not be perfectly flat, I'm curious if drainage would work out okay.
