Why Do I Keep Needing to Pee While Woodworking?

Hey everyone, does anyone else deal with frequent urination specifically while woodworking? I've talked to a doctor, and it's not a UTI or anything like that. Generally, I have a big bladder and can hold it just fine in other situations. But when I'm in my shop, it feels like I need to take a bathroom break every 5-10 minutes. I'm not sure if it's nerves from using power tools, just excitement being in the shop, or maybe something about the environment that triggers this. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I’ve been there! I do find I need to take more breaks when I’m woodworking too, though not nearly as often as every 5–10 minutes. Sometimes it’s just about adjusting to the excitement and the focus. Also, hydration patterns can play a role, especially if you're drinking more while working. Just listen to your body and take breaks when you need to!

This might sound off, but have you considered the vibrations from the tools? Some people even find they have to go when they're in places like bookstores or libraries. Maybe there's something about the woodworking environment that affects you too? Just a thought!

Interesting theory! I know that sometimes it's hard to relax around power tools, which could make this kind of thing happen.

Is woodworking the only time you're standing for a while? There's a known phenomenon where people tend to feel the urge to pee when they get home after being out. It's definitely not the same thing, but just wondering if the shop environment is triggering something similar for you.
