I bought a small clip fan that runs on one 18650 battery, and I'm curious if I can add a second one to increase the run time. The fan's housing doesn't have enough space, but I'm planning to drill two holes for the cables and secure everything with kapton tape. How should I wire the batteries together? Any tips? Thanks in advance!

To extend your fan's run time, you should wire the two 18650 batteries in parallel. This means connecting the positive terminal of the second battery to the positive terminal of the first. Don't forget to connect the negative terminals together as well!
If you want a simpler solution, you might consider using a power bank instead. It could require a little more investment, but it's often a safer option. You could even use a zener diode in series to lower the voltage if needed.
I prefer not to invest too much right now. Since I already have some 18650 batteries, adding just one seems like the easiest mod.
Just a heads up, if you decide to use two batteries, consider adding a battery management board. This setup can help prevent issues if the batteries charge or discharge at different rates, which is crucial for safety.
That shouldn't be a problem if they're wired in parallel, right?

Awesome! So just to clarify, it's positive to positive and negative to negative, right?
