Are V-TAC 410W Solar Panels a Good Choice for My Shed?

Hey everyone! I'm diving into DIY solar and stumbled upon a pack of four V-TAC 410W solar panels for £399. It looks like a decent deal compared to big-name brands, but I wanted to get your take on it. Specifically, how reliable are these panels? I'm planning to install them on my shed and would appreciate any insights or experiences you might have!

You're entering the solar realm, huh? Just a heads-up: once you start, it can get a bit addictive! One panel leads to another, and soon you might find yourself with more than you planned for, like I did!

Honestly, I think the price is pretty rough. City Plumbing has solid 430W panels going for £60-70 each, and if you order two or more, they throw in delivery. I ordered from them and got my panels the next day delivered right to my doorstep—super quick service!

Wow, that sounds like great service! Do they have a good range to choose from?

Also, keep in mind that a 12-year warranty is pretty standard nowadays. Many top manufacturers are offering warranties for 25-40 years, so it might be worth considering that when making your decision.

I think these panels are fine, and while the price isn't particularly outrageous, it's not a steal either. Nowadays, solar panels are more or less a commodity, meaning the differences in quality and performance between brands are pretty slim.
