Hey everyone! I've been dealing with a whitefly infestation for a couple of years now, especially in my Irises and bulbs. I'm located in California zone 9b and have already tried using Neem oil, but it hasn't worked for me. I'm really hoping to get rid of these pests before I start planting in the next couple of weeks. I'm feeling tempted to go overboard and just nuke the entire site, but I'm looking for any practical solutions that could help avoid that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would recommend checking out the Nature's Good Guys website. They have several options that are pretty straightforward and effective against whiteflies, especially targeting them at the larval stage. I've used their resources for other pest problems before, and they've worked well!
While it's not an instant fix, consider using green lacewing larvae. They can really help control whiteflies before they become a problem. Arbico Organics is a good supplier for that. If you do a few treatments about a week apart, they can establish a local presence to help keep those pesky pests in check. Oh, and don't forget some yellow sticky traps too!
I'm also in zone 9b and have had success with using sticky traps and Butterwort plants to combat whiteflies. Just make sure to keep an eye on your soil moisture because they can thrive if the soil's too wet for too long.
Thanks for the tip! I hadn't considered sticky traps. I was leaning towards ladybugs, but maybe combining those with sticky traps could work. The area has plant drip irrigation, but I'll check the surrounding soil to ensure it’s not oversaturated.

I totally agree with this! Nature's Good Guys is a solid resource, and their shipping is fast. I've ordered from them multiple times without any issues.
