Worm Casting Tea vs. Composted Sheep Manure: Which is Better for Seedlings?

I'm trying to decide between using worm casting tea and a mix of composted sheep manure for my seedlings. They both have their perks, but I'm worried that one might be better for nutrition. Can anyone share their thoughts on which option could be more beneficial for growing seedlings?

I’d be cautious with using sheep manure tea directly on your plants. It’s better to fully compost it first to reduce the risk of harmful bacteria like E. coli or intestinal worms. Generally, it’s recommended to incorporate that kind of soil amendment in the fall or winter when crops aren’t actively growing.

Honestly, I wouldn't use either on seedlings since they're in an artificial soil environment. Instead, they typically need light applications of synthetic fertilizers. Between the two, the sheep manure might be more concentrated, so if you go for it, just make sure to dilute it properly.

But if you feel confident about the natural options, soluble fertilizers from teas can be beneficial when your seedlings are developing true leaves!

That's good to know! I’ve noticed my seedlings are growing nicely now, so I really want to support that growth. I appreciate your insights! I might try the natural route for now and see how they respond.
