Why won’t my push mower’s blade button stay down?

I'm having issues with my push mower; the blade button just won't stay depressed. I've tried pressing it, but it keeps popping back up. The only way I can keep the blades on is by using a clamp, which isn't exactly a permanent solution. Unfortunately, I've misplaced my receipt and any other documentation, so I'm unable to check if it's still under warranty. Before I start tearing apart my mower or my house, I thought I'd see if anyone here has any ideas or advice.

If you lost your receipt, don't worry too much! Many retailers can look it up if you remember the card you used to buy the mower. They usually don’t mind helping if you're not asking for a refund. Also, you could check with Milwaukee directly, as they sometimes use the manufacturer date to confirm warranty status; it worked for me with a vacuum I had trouble with.

I totally get your struggle! Those buttons can be a pain. Have you considered sending a video to their support team? It might help them understand the problem better. Just a thought!
