I'm looking for some solid tips and better setups to keep my outdoor garden tap from freezing over the winter. It seems like every year I end up replacing the standard brass tap because of the cold. What are some effective ways to prevent this from happening?

I've seen people using upside-down plant pots over their taps. It's a clever trick! Also, if you can, try to isolate the tap from the water supply indoors to prevent freezing.
Covering the tap is a must! How did you not realize that after the first time? It's really not complicated. You can find inexpensive covers online.
I use a simple insulated cover for my tap. I put it on in early November and take it off in March. It’s cost-effective and has worked well for four years!
Yeah, I got mine from Lidl for about 3 or 4 quid too!
In our area, we just wrap the tap in bubble wrap. We do get sharp frosts occasionally, but it seems to do the trick!

Well, the tap was already frozen when we bought the house. I’ll definitely make sure to cover it this time!
