Looking for Privacy Solutions for My Garage Door

Asked By Pr1vacySeeker92 On

I'm considering adding privacy doors in front of my garage door to maintain my privacy while I work. My idea is to install a 4-panel bi-folding door made from aluminum with ABS panels that would allow me to open either one panel for easy access or all four to pull a car inside. I plan to attach this to the framework outside of the existing garage door, which will remain functional. Does anyone know if there's already a solution like this? Also, if you could recommend any resources, vendors, or suppliers where I can source materials to build these doors myself, that would be super helpful! Thanks a lot!

Another option to think about could be installing an automated curtain inside the garage, or, like someone else mentioned, just adding a passage door on the side. It could be a lot less hassle!

Have you thought about just adding a regular door in a side wall? It could simplify things for you and provide the access you need without interfering with your existing garage door.

I did consider that, but cutting through brick and working on concrete to set up a foundation would be quite a headache.

Check this link! It might be a good option: https://a.co/d/dRJjyv3. I stumbled upon it while looking for ideas.

I looked at that too and it's definitely on my list if I can't figure out the DIY route.
