We're planning a bathroom remodel and are stuck on a big decision. Right now, we have a bathtub, but both my partner and I are shower people. We're really leaning towards installing a shower instead. However, we also want to think about the future since we might have kids soon, and a bathtub could be more practical for them. Have any of you been in a similar situation? What did you choose and why? Any tips on what worked or didn't for you?

If you're in a one-bathroom house, I'd think twice about removing the tub entirely. We recently swapped a second bathroom's tub for a walk-in shower but kept the tub in our main bathroom. It’s great for kids and guests!
This is actually our only bathroom. We're planning to move in a couple of years, but we do want kids soon!
