I'm moving into a new apartment and need some advice on how to keep my plants safe from my cats, and vice versa. My landlord has some restrictions on using hooks or adhesives, preferring that I keep nail usage to a minimum. Right now, I hang my plants in the windows and from ceiling hooks. I'm worried that if I put them on high shelves, my cats will find a way to get to them and might eat the plants. I'm really hoping to keep all my plants and can't move them outside yet since it's still too cold. I also have some experience with macrame but haven't figured out a strong enough solution that can hold multiple plants. Any suggestions?

I keep my plants in IKEA cabinets with grow lights, and they thrive! You could also repurpose an old aquarium for some plants, which can be a unique way to display them too.
You might want to check out these "florettis" that I use to hang my plants! They attach to window keyholes, and they're pretty easy to set up. I found mine here in Finland, but there may be similar options available where you are. They work well and keep my plants secure!
Have you thought about using a coat stand? They can be a quirky and functional way to hang plants without needing nails or adhesives. Just hang pots from the hooks and you'll keep them out of reach from your cats!
