Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here. I could really use some help figuring out what's going on with my Philodendron Pink Princess. I've had it for about two months now, and despite my efforts to care for it, the leaves seem really fragile. They end up tearing or splitting without me even touching them. To make things weirder, the new leaf is already showing signs of damage, but there's nothing nearby that seems to be causing it. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening? I'd appreciate any advice!

It sounds like your Pink Princess might be infested with thrips, which can definitely cause that kind of damage to the leaves. I had a similar issue with mine, and once I treated it for pests, the leaves started recovering! I recommend checking under the leaves for any tiny bugs or webbing. You might need to use an insecticidal soap or neem oil to get rid of them. Good luck!
It could also be mechanical damage from your support pole. Sometimes the leaves can get caught or rub against it. If you have a pole, try moving or adjusting your plant's position a bit to see if that helps. Just a thought!

Thanks for the tip! I looked closely, and I actually found some tiny critters. I’ll definitely try the insecticidal soap.
