Hi all, I have a Frigidaire dishwasher that's been acting up lately. A while back, there was quite a bit of water left at the bottom that wouldn't drain. I followed a YouTube tutorial and took apart the bottom to try and fix it. I even used a drain snake, but didn't find any major clogs. After that, it drained fine for a few washes but then started giving me problems again. Now there's about a quarter inch of water stuck above the circular filter. Is it time to just get a new dishwasher? Thanks for any advice!

I faced a similar issue with my brand new dishwasher! It was leaking and wouldn't drain properly. It turned out that my drain line was too long and it was kinking up. The service team had to make it shorter to sort out the drainage problem. If you're comfortable with it, try trimming your drain line to a minimum while still keeping that high loop for proper drainage.
Yes, that's the one! And about that high loop—it's really important for drainage, even if it worked fine before. Sometimes those things can just wear out over time.
Have you checked if there's a high loop in your drain line? That setup is crucial for proper draining. If not, it might be causing the issue with the water pooling up.
Sorry, what does high loop mean?

Just to be absolutely clear, the drain line is the one connecting the dishwasher to the main plumbing, right? I'm not too experienced with DIY plumbing.
