I'm looking for house plants that are super low-maintenance and can thrive in both low or indirect sunlight, and I'd also love recommendations for a few that can handle direct sunlight. My room has high-up windows (basement lights), so the top shelf gets bright sunlight while the lower shelves only receive indirect light. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to plant care, so any tips on pots, soil, and watering would also be really helpful! Thanks a bunch!

Definitely check out ZZ plants; they're nearly impossible to kill and do well in low-light. Also, if you're thinking about grow lights, I'd recommend them! They can really help your plants thrive despite the low natural light. Just make sure to start with a lower intensity and gradually increase it—this helps the plants adjust better.

Can you keep plants by a window while using grow lights?
