Best Radio-Controlled Relay Setup for Solar Floodlights?

Asked By User3920! On

I'm looking for a solution to control multiple solar-powered floodlights with a single button press from a distance of a couple hundred feet. The catch is that I need this to work through walls and bushes, so a line-of-sight remote won't do. I can't find any commercially available lights that meet these criteria, so I'm thinking about DIY-ing it. The plan is to use inexpensive solar floodlights and wire their switches through radio-controlled relays. Can anyone recommend a reliable, off-the-shelf radio control setup that can handle multiple relays with several remote fobs? Or is there a better alternative? I'd appreciate any advice!

If you're looking for a more scalable option, you might want to explore some mid-range radio control relay systems. They can usually accommodate a greater number of remotes and allow for easy linking. This way, you can add more relays and fobs over time without hassle. I’ve seen several options online that might suit your needs well!

I found a potential solution on AliExpress that looks like it might fit your needs. It's a set of radio-controlled relays that could handle multiple remotes. Just make sure to check the details and compatibility! Here’s the link if you're interested: [AliExpress Relay](https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803986165795.html?src=google&...)

Can you use multiple remotes with those? I’m curious about how the setup works if you want to add more remotes later.

Ha! Just be ready to wait for your AliExpress order! They can take ages, and you might end up with a slapdash package. Just be patient and hopeful that the instructions are legible when it arrives!
