Best Way to Attach a Magnetic Knife Holder with Adhesive Tape?

I'm trying to use a magnetic knife holder on my kitchen wall, and I need a strong adhesive tape to install it. I've recently moved and had to remove the old adhesive tape, and now I can't find a suitable replacement on Amazon. I specifically need a thick tape that can accommodate two nuts embedded at each end so I can screw in my knife holder properly. Does anyone have suggestions for the right kind of tape and tips on how to insert the nuts into it?

You should definitely check out 3M's double-sided foam tape. It's really strong and comes in various thicknesses, so that might work perfectly for your setup!

If you're open to alternatives, I've successfully used construction adhesive (I think it was 3M 4200) to mount mine to a glass surface. Just a thought if the tape doesn't pan out.

Not exactly what you asked for, but Command Strips for heavy items could work too. They're rated to hold 15 pounds each, so a few of those might do the trick without needing to mess with nuts and screws!
