I recently moved to a townhouse with a small back patio where I planted wildflower seeds in a 2ft x 7ft strip of dirt. There's a large tree nearby, but no other plants or grass. I noticed a strong odor of dog and cat urine, likely from previous tenants who had a large dog. I'm not sure if the smell is coming from the dirt, the tree, or something else.
