Looking for Flower Ideas for My Memory Garden

Hey everyone! I'm putting together a memory garden in my backyard here in the Pacific Northwest, and I'd love to get your thoughts on it. I've just planted an apple sapling that I've been nurturing, and I'm planning to add some lavender for ground cover during the spring and summer. The garden is meant to be a peaceful space to remember friends, pets, and loved ones we've lost. I'm also considering rosemary since it has a beautiful meaning tied to remembrance.

Right now, I'm stuck on what other flowers to include. I'd like to add something in orange or peach tones to bring some lovely contrast to all the greenery. I could really use some inspiration—any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Aromatic plants are perfect for a memory garden! Lavender will definitely add a nice touch. For some orange or peach flowers, consider marigolds or orange tulips; they can brighten up the space beautifully. You could also look into daylilies as they come in those warm colors and are pretty easy to care for!

Thanks for the suggestions! I hadn’t thought about marigolds, but they sound like a great fit.

I love the idea of a memory garden! In addition to lavender and rosemary, you might want to think about adding some echinacea (coneflowers) for texture and color. They can come in beautiful purples, but there are peachy varieties too. Plus, they attract butterflies which could add some life to your special space!
