Hey everyone! I ordered about 70 daffodil bulbs this year, specifically 50 Mount Hood and 20 Dreamlight, and I can't figure out why none of them are sprouting. I'm a professional gardener, so I don't think I messed up the planting. It's just really strange that I'm not seeing any foliage at all. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

When did you plant them? Daffodils are usually planted in the fall. I'm in East Texas, and mine have already bloomed. Where are you at?
I'm in New England, so it’s colder here. I planted them in late October, and everyone else's daffodils are coming up already. I might dig them up to check for overcrowding or see what's going on.
Where did you plant them? Are they in pots or in the ground? Watch out for any pests too, like squirrels and rabbits.
Fortunately, daffodils are toxic to most animals, so you shouldn’t have to worry much about pests munching on them like tulips.
What USDA zone are you in? Here where I live, none of my daffodils have bloomed yet either. It might just be a timing issue.
I’d recommend giving them a bit more time. Even if they’re crowded, daffodils should still try to bloom. They could just be adjusting to a different climate after being shipped from the Netherlands. You might want to dig one or two up to see if they’ve rooted at all. If they’re light and dried out, that might be a problem. Did the bulbs seem healthy when you planted them?
You might want to check if they were treated for diseases before shipping, which could affect their growth. My dad used to grow daffodils, and we had a method for treating bulbs. If the water got too hot, it could kill them, so errors can happen.

East Texas is lovely! I've been there in spring and fall, and the flowers are beautiful.
