I just finished off a 20-liter container of liquid laundry soap and I'm curious about using it as a planter for growing vegetables. It's the one that has a name similar to parsley, if that helps. I'm considering planting leeks or carrots, but I wonder if it would be wiser to choose vegetables that grow above the soil, like lettuce. Alternatively, should I just go for decorative plants, such as a snake plant?

I’d advise against using an old laundry detergent container for vegetables. The plastic can break down when exposed to sunlight, and without knowing exactly what type of plastic it is, you might be putting your plants in danger. It’s safer to go for containers specifically designed for planting!
It’s really important to thoroughly clean that container if you plan to use it for planting. If it's spacious enough, just follow the usual tips you'd find online about container gardening and you should be good to go!
I personally wouldn’t recommend using anything that held chemicals for food growing. It’s just not worth the risk, you know? Better to stick with proper planting containers.
