How Can I Fix My Collapsing Retaining Wall?

Asked By xXRandomDude42Xx On

I'm dealing with a collapsing retaining wall and I'm looking for some DIY solutions to either stabilize it for now or repair it. My goal is to manage it this year, with plans to fully landscape and replace it in the next couple of years. Any advice would be appreciated! I'm located on Vancouver Island, BC.

To stabilize your wall, consider using rebar. Drive some long rods (at least two feet longer than your wall) into the ground—two feet deep—right up against the wall. This should help keep it steady for the time being.

Thank you!

If you've got the right tools, try connecting the wall to the masonry on the left side. Using concrete screws or rebar can really help with stability!

Can’t attach to the masonry unfortunately, but thank you!
